
Civil War, a movie written and directed by Alex Garland, follows the journey of a reporter as she travels to the White House in the middle of a civil war to interview the president of the United States. Aided by the title of the movie, you wouldn't be wrong to think that the civil war that is occurring in the movie is a representation of what the American 1861 civil war would be like had it happened in modern-day America.
With the soundtrack, the acting and the pace of the movie, the creators did a phenomenal job with maintaining the suspense of the movie. That is very good because aside from that, the movie is actually boring. But, between the utter silence that comes out of the movie and the scenes that are captured, and shown, the movie maintained a type of suspense that captivates the audience with an empty promise that it never delivers upon.
